2014 Investment Campaign has kicked off!
Hot on the heels of our beloved Seahawks Superbowl Championship Win (Go Hawks!), the Flying Bike Board of Directors is kicking off our Member Investment Campaign to raise the funds we need to open a physical brewery in 2015.
Like the Seahawks, the board has been preparing for this for quite some time, doing the research into sizing the brewery, identifying and researching potential spots, doing financial calculations, and getting our legal ducks in a row. Pursuant to this, late last year we held a membership vote where it was proposed that we amend our Cooperative Bylaws to allow for the sale of preferred stock to members to raise capital to move forward with our plans. And thanks to you, this amendment was passed by a strong margin!
Now, all that research and preparation is at a point that we need your involvement to help us get to the next step. As a Washington state Member-Owner, by now you should have received a letter describing the investment campaign, and by later this week we should have the final legal t’s crossed and I’s dotted.
Please take some time to review the investment announcement, and then plan to come to our informational meeting that is schedule for this upcoming Saturday, February 8th to get your questions answered, and make your investment in our brewery! We hope to see you there!
